The 501C3 Application Process

1st Option: Create a 501c3 Project through Fiscal Sponsorship
The easiest and possibly lessor known way to set up a 501c3 is through fiscal sponsorship. Fiscal Sponsorship allows your nonprofit to focus its attention on your projects, fund raising, and running a successful nonprofit rather than becoming overwhelmed with paper work, filing reports, and bookkeeping. 501c3 Nonprofit status through the fiscal sponsorship program is much less expensive and easier than going through traditional channels that can take 6 to 8 months. Many times we can have your 501c3 status completed and operational inside 4-6 weeks. Through the fiscal sponsorship program, the cost to get started is a mere $385 and includes all your ongoing:

2nd Option: Create Independent 501c3 Through the IRS
Ocean Grand can also provide you a traditional 501c3 organization. The costs, application and time for approval are more expensive, however, we have one of the lowest fees for this in the country. We would highly recommend you look at the CDP program. If once you set up a CDP program you decide to go the traditional route you can always switch to a traditional 501c3.
The cost to set up a 501c3 organization through the IRS is $1150 for all the following plus filing fees:
- Articles of Incorporation (nonprofit)
- Bylaws
- Federal Employer Identification number
- Predrawn minutes
- IRS 1023 nonprofit application
